Ideal for birds that preen frequently, chew aggressively, or show signs of foot discomfort on hard plastic perches. The three-piece set works best when spread across different cage heights to create a natural climbing route.
How to Use
- Thread the metal end hooks or tie-off loops through the cage bars at the desired height and secure tightly so the perch does not swing loose.
- Bend the rope into your preferred shape — straight, curved, or coiled — before introducing your bird; reshape as needed over time.
- Place the U-shaped perch near a food dish, the long rope diagonally for climbing, and the circular swing near the top for play.
- Introduce one piece at a time if your bird is shy about new objects; let them explore from a distance first.
Care and Maintenance
Spot-clean with a damp cloth every 3–4 days to remove droppings. For deeper cleaning, hand-wash with mild unscented soap and warm water, then air-dry completely before returning to the cage — never machine wash, as the steel wire core can rust if the rope stays saturated. Inspect the rope weekly for deep fraying or exposed wire; replace immediately if the core is visible. Store dry; avoid humid rooms where mold can develop in the cotton fibers.
Important Limitations
Not suitable for large parrots (African Grey, Amazon, Macaw) — their beak strength can sever the rope quickly and ingest strands. Not designed for outdoor or humid enclosures; the steel core will rust with prolonged moisture exposure. Monitor heavy chewers closely during the first week of use. The circular swing is a light-activity enrichment toy, not a load-bearing perch — do not position it as a primary resting spot for birds over 4 oz.
