Recommended Use
Ideal for medium to large indoor cats (8–13 lbs) that scratch furniture or carpets and prefer enclosed, cradle-style resting spots. Best suited for cats with active scratching habits who need both a dedicated scratch surface and a comfortable place to curl up after a session.
How to Use
- Place the cradle on a flat floor surface in an area your cat frequents.
- Sprinkle a small amount of catnip on the jute surface to attract your cat on first introduction.
- Gently guide your cat's paws to the jute surface to show the scratch area.
- Allow your cat to explore the cradle shape at their own pace — most cats adopt it within 1–3 days.
- Reposition near favorite scratch targets (sofa legs, carpet edges) if the cat ignores it initially.
Care and Maintenance
- Remove loose jute debris with a lint roller or stiff brush weekly.
- Vacuum the surface with a brush attachment every 2–3 weeks to clear hair and dander buildup.
- Do not machine wash — moisture weakens the jute weave and may cause deformation.
- Spot-clean soiled areas with a dry cloth; avoid soaking the material.
- Replace when the surface is visibly flattened or claw engagement is reduced.
Important Limitations
- Sized for cats 8–13 lbs — not suitable for cats over 14 lbs or kittens under 4 lbs who may find the cradle unstable.
